Richell Castellón Ferreira was born in Cienfuegos, Cuba, on January 12th, 1985. His first steps in the Art world started from an early age, drawing self-taught and participating prominently in public competitions. At the end of primary school Richell attended night workshops organized by the House of Culture of Cienfuegos, where he developed his skills. After completing his secondary education in 2000, he enrolled in the School of Instructors of Art of Cienfuegos "Octavio García Hernandez" where he spent four years of effort and dedication allowing him to achieve the bases of what would be the beginning of his career as an artist. During this period, the painting and drawing workshops was what he loved the most.
Even as a student Richell participated in provincial Art events and was awarded by the City Hall for his work "The full sense". In 2004 he graduated with outstanding results and won several awards for being a well integrated student of fine arts and the best student in four years. Richell continued his studies and obtained his degree as “Instructor of art” without losing the link with the Cienfuego artistic endeavor, continuing to participate in collective and individual exhibitions which provided his artistic recognition. Richell later joined a group called "Impression" to promote his work and the work of the instructors of art in the community. The group "Impression" has donated artwork of different group members to several institutions.
Today Richell continues his career as an artist without losing its essence and applies the best of his knowledge in each one of his works.
