Cosette Bekkers grew up in Tulcea, a small city on the Delta of the Danube River in Romania.
Fascinated about nature and colours, Cosette loves the simple things in life, those with no intrinsic material value but with a story behind. For the artist, anything that doesn't come with poetry is sad and lacks good taste.
While studying Fashion Design, Cosette lived abroad in countries like New Zealand, France, Spain and Belgium and took inspiration from their culture, people, places, architecture, habits and nature.
“I love the horses I paint as they become part of me, they represent me, my free spirit and my lonely soul. I paint compositions where I make transitions to ballet. I was myself a ballerina while I was a child and to me ballerinas are the symbol of Femininity and Beauty."
